On Tuesday, January 24, the beginning of the ski season is expected
Although we have entered the second half of January, there has been no skiing on Platka this season yet. Above-average temperatures and a large number of rainy days marked the first part of the calendar winter.
Will the real winter finally arrive, and with it the start of the ski season on Platko, is a question that not only GSC employees are dealing with these days, but also all skiing enthusiasts, organizers of planned sports events as well as numerous media that regularly monitor and publish information about Platko.
The head of the County Administrative Department for Culture, Sports and Technical Culture, Sonja Šišić, and the director of the Goran Sports Center, Alen Udovič, commented on the weather conditions for Croatian Radio and Television and announced the possible start of the ski season. If the forecast remains unchanged, a cold weather is expected from Thursday, so the snowfall system would be launched on Thursday. Since it takes at least four days to prepare a quality substrate, the system will work until Monday, and the opening of the ski resort is planned for Tuesday, January 24. With the hope that the weather conditions will enable the implementation of such a plan, in addition to day skiing, night skiing on Radeševo is also planned on Tuesdays and Fridays, where the lighting has been repaired.
