12. Carnival Snowboard Session
On Sunday, February 12, Platak will host snowboarders from the region at 12. Carnival Snowboard Session which, in addition to an attractive competition, will also bring a touch of carnival to Platak. The 12th Carnival Snowboard Session will gather male and female riders from Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia and Romania who will compete in the attractive slopestyle discipline. The prize fund of the competition is 1000 euros, and the competition is also the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Snowboard Championship. In addition to the attractive jumps and acrobatics of the contestants, the audience at Platko can expect a rich accompanying program.
Carnival Snowboard Session organizes Snowboard club Nine who organizes boarding schools in Platak, but this will be the first time that this competition will move from the center of Rijeka to Platak, the place where most of the "local" snowboarders got their first experiences.
This year's edition of the Carnival Snowboard Session is financially supported by the Rijeka Tourist Board, Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Kvarner Tourist Board, the Goranski Sports Center and the Ski Association of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, and is covered by KIGO.hr.
