Carnival Snowboard Session moved from Saturday to Sunday, January 21

Due to the unfavorable weather forecast, the 13th Carnival Snowboard Session instead on Saturday January 20, will be held on Sunday January 21, 2024. 

Event organizers Snowboard club Nine they decided to move the date of the event from Saturday to Sunday due to the announced weather forecast. If the forecast comes true, it should snow in Platka from Friday to Saturday. Due to the preparation of the track for the competition, the organizers decided to move the date of the competition to Sunday.
This is the second year that the Carnival Snowboard Session will be held on Platko in the slopestyle discipline. The first eleven editions were held in the very center of Rijeka, which made the competition unique and particularly attractive.
This year, the organizers expect a turnout from competitors from the entire region who like to come to Kvarner where they can board with a view of the sea, and one of the reasons for the turnout is certainly the generous prize fund of 1.000 euros.
The Carnival Snowboard Session is also the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Snowboard Championship. Children born after 2009, juniors from 2005 to 2009 and adults born before 2005 can take part in the competition, in male and female competition.
This year's edition of the Carnival Snowboard Session is supported by the Tourist Board of the City of Rijeka as a co-organizer of the competition. Sponsors are Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, Kvarner Tourist Board, Goran Sports Center, Ski Association of Primorje-Gorski County and Čavle Municipality Tourist Board.
