More than 60 snouts on the fourth Canihike face of Platak
On Saturday, October 4, on the occasion of World Animal Protection Day, the fourth edition of Canihika lica Platka, a hiking-recreational event dedicated to nature lovers and their four-legged friends, was held in Platka. This year's edition attracted more than 60 participants - dogs and their owners, who together enjoyed the beautiful autumn landscapes of Platka on three guided hiking tours of varying difficulty.

The event, in addition to an active stay in nature, also had a humanitarian character. As part of the event, the "Wow photo!" campaign was held, during which participants had the opportunity to take photos with their pets for free, and the collected donations were intended for the "Rijeka Animal Protection Society" Dog Shelter. With professional photographers and a cheerful mood, everyone took home a memory of this special day.
The event was given special value by KRAS – the Coordination Working Group for Animal Protection of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, which facilitated the implementation of the activities and informed all participants about the rights and obligations of dog owners, the importance of responsible pet ownership, and distributed educational picture books about the dog Flegius for the youngest participants. These picture books teach children about animal care, adoption, and responsible ownership in a simple and fun way.

This year's event partner was Josera Croatia, which gave all participants gift packages for their pets.
The organizers would also like to thank the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County, the Kvarner Tourist Board, the Municipality of Čavle, INA dd and JGL dd for their support and partnership, which allows Canihike to grow every year and gather an increasing number of nature and animal lovers.
The goal of the project is to encourage citizens to actively spend their free time with their pets, but also to develop awareness of the importance of animal protection and responsible ownership.
Canihike's face from Platka once again showed how much togetherness, love for nature and animals can create positive energy - and how every step in the forest can be a step towards a better world for all our little faces.
