Announcement of the 10th edition of the event "All Faces of Platka"
Platak will once again be a meeting place for sport, nature and recreation this year. As the host of the 10th anniversary edition of the sports-recreational-tourism event "All the Faces of Platak", it will host thousands of athletes, recreationalists, families and lovers of active outdoor activities during August and October. This year's edition is given special value by the fact that the event is part of the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County program - European Region of Sport 2026, which further confirms the importance of Platak as one of the leading outdoor destinations in the region.
Since the launch of the pilot project in 2017, All Faces of Platak has grown into one of the most recognizable sports and recreational events in Croatia. Over the past nine years, 27 events have been held, bringing together more than 20.000 visitors, almost 5.000 athletes and more than 500 volunteers, who have collectively achieved more than 14.000 volunteer hours. The value of the project was also recognized in 2022 when it was awarded the prestigious tourism award “Simply the Best” in the Sports and Recreation category for quality, creativity and contribution to the development of active tourism.
Pleasant temperatures, mountain air, diverse terrain and developed sports infrastructure allow for the organization of multiple competitions simultaneously, making this event unique in Croatia.
This year's program begins, like previous ones, with the Platka Sports Festival, which will be held August 22th and 23th, in 5 different sports. The program starts on Saturday with a tournament in indoor soccer and disc golf, and ends on Sunday with tournaments in beach volleyball, 3×3 basketball, bocce and disc golf. This year's program once again brings events intended for everyone, with a tournament in wheelchair basketball and a hiking event intended for blind and partially sighted people and people with disabilities. The youngest have a special place in the program, for whom children's sports events have been prepared, while cooperation with the Rijeka Academic Sports Association with the support of the Student Center of the University of Rijeka continues through the free participation of students of the University of Rijeka.
The sports face of Platak is breaking its own records this year and bringing the most massive edition so far. As many as 12 volleyball teams, 12 football teams, 16 basketball teams, 8 bocce teams and around 50 disc golf fans. The numbers confirm that this is a real sports festival for all generations. Registration for bocce and basketball is still open, so there is still time for new teams to join. The most successful competitors in all disciplines will receive valuable prizes from sponsors.
The sporting face of Platak is not just a matter of results; in addition to the sports arenas, visitors can also expect a Decathlon sports corner for young and old, where they can try out various sports facilities and a Zott exercise corner, and after the sports program, good entertainment follows.
A week later, on August 30th, Platak will once again become the center of the trail and MTB scene through the Vertical Face of Platak. Participants can expect trail races of various lengths, an MTB marathon, and an E-BIKE category, while on October 4th, the event will be rounded off by Canihike Face of Platak, an organized hiking event with dogs.

The All Faces of Platak event confirms that Platak is not just a winter sports and recreation center, but a year-round outdoor destination that brings together people of all generations through sports, recreation, and spending time in nature. This is why this year's anniversary edition represents one of the most important events in the program of Primorje-Gorski Kotar County - European Region of Sport 2026, a project that promotes sport as the foundation of a healthy and active society.
Platak is proud to have hosted an event for ten years, which brings together a large number of athletes, recreationalists, volunteers and partners. We would like to express our special gratitude to all the volunteers who will once again participate in the preparation and implementation of the program with their work, knowledge and enthusiasm, and with their contribution ensure that every visitor takes a beautiful experience from Platak.
